Part of the AGP project (see barfff.com/agp/ for a full explanation and videos) - Artscape Gibraltar Point, Dec. 2015 residency. This is the audio that accompanies a video you will find on the project page. It was recorded on Dec. 27, 2015 with a Zoom H6. It is a noise field from which a 'profile' was taken. A triangle mesh made of approximately uniformly sized triangles was drawn freely to fill up the space - a triangulation of empty space. The album cover is the final image which I have also rendered as an acrylic painting (approx. 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 yards in size). The resulting structure has then been translated into data consisting of a series of x/y points, registering living presence as a precise architecture, a data set. In the video, the order that the lines are drawn in is reproduced. This is just one of the departure points for analysis and operations which may be applied to the data in an effort to reveal spiritual/psychological content and transform it. What I am developing is a kind of mystical audio/visual mathematics based on non-linear geometry and computation using art as the medium to reveal, study, and transform consciousness. The study of living presence.
